Increased exploitation of the "green pre-salt", a term used by the CEO of Grupo BBF (Brasil BioFules), Milton Steagall, to explain the potential that palm (or dendê) monocultures have in the Amazon, has become a reality. The contract between the company - which bought Biopalma from Vale in 2020 - and Vibra Energia - formerly BR Distribuidora - provides for the opening of a biorefinery in the Manaus Free Trade Zone by 2026.
