Employment: Grupo BBF opens 265 vacancies for young apprentices in 4 municipalities in Pará

Grupo BBF ( Brasil BioFuels) has 265 job vacancies open in all areas of the company for young apprentices. The young people selected will be able to work in one of the four municipalities in Pará where the group is present - Acará, Concórdia, Moju or Tomé-açu - in the agricultural, industrial, administrative, technology and people management areas.

Grupo BBF 's young apprentice program is run in partnership with the Rural Apprenticeship Service (SENAR), also building on the partnership with the National Industrial Apprenticeship Service (SENAI).

Grupo BBF operates in sustainable agribusiness from oil palm cultivation, biotechnology, biofuel production and renewable energy generation. With a presence in the states of Acre, Amazonas, Pará, Rondônia and Roraima, the company currently stands out as one of the largest employers in the North of the country - with approximately 7,000 direct jobs and 21,000 indirect jobs. Operations in the region include 38 thermoelectric plants (25 in operation and 13 under implementation), 3 oil palm crushing units, a soybean extruder and a biodiesel industry.

Grupo BBF 's young apprentice program is run in partnership with the Rural Apprenticeship Service (SENAR), also building on the partnership with the National Industrial Apprenticeship Service (SENAI).

"Since 2019, we've had a big jump in the number of employees, increasing our staff by 18 times, from 345 in 2019 to more than 6,280 in 2023. We now expect to double the current number over the next few years," said Milton Steagall, CEO of Grupo BBF.

About the company

The Brazilian company was founded in 2008 and is the largest palm oil producer in Latin America, with a cultivated area of over 75,000 hectares and a production capacity of 200,000 tons of oil per year. It is also a pioneer in creating sustainable solutions for generating renewable energy in isolated systems, with thermoelectric plants powered by biofuels produced in the region.

The company is also expanding its supply of biofuels and has signed partnerships to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Green Diesel, also called green diesel. According to BBF, the new sustainable fuels will be produced from 2026 at the country's first Biorefinery, which is currently under construction in the Manaus Free Trade Zone.
