Family farmers who grow oil palm in the regions of Tomé-Açu, Acará, Concórdia do Pará and Moju were awarded for record oil palm production in 2022. Fourteen families participated in the certification ceremony that took place this Thursday (9), in Moju, northeast Pará. They were highlights in their productivity during the year, having received more than R$ 3 million as a result of their production.
In 2022, the oil palm crop in the region reached more than 37 tons of the product, which guaranteed revenues of R$30 million for the 414 workers who belong to the family farming program developed by Brasil BioFuels (BBF).
With a delivery of over 22 tons of oil palm, farmer Carivaldo Barbosa was also one of the highlights of 2022. According to him, the aid received by the family farming program ensured a higher yield in the field and more income for his family.
"I have many friends in family agriculture who cannot continue their productions for lack of assistance. It is a partnership that works very well, because we trust each other and know that we can count on the company to help us in all our deliveries," concluded the producer.
