International Day of Family Farming - how important is it for Brazil?

In 2014, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) established July 25 as International Day of Family Farming. But, after all, what is the importance of the activity?

Family farming is characterized by agricultural production in an extension of up to four fiscal modules - a unit of measurement, in hectares, that varies between municipalities; that is, it can vary between different locations in the country - whose production must use the family's own labor in economic activities.
