Grupo BBF strengthens Young Apprentice Program in Pará

A total of 162 vacancies have been opened and the young people's professional journey will begin in the first week of June

The Grupo BBF Brasil BioFuels) is starting 2025 by reinforcing its Young Apprentice Program in the state of Pará, which aims to include young people in the job market. A total of 162 vacancies have been opened up for the company's operations in the municipalities of Acará, Concórdia do Pará, Moju and Tomé-Açu. Applications were made online between February 3 and 14, and more than 2,000 candidates signed up for the program.

Of the 162 vacancies available, 36 positions have been opened in the municipality of Acará, 57 in Concórdia do Pará, 34 in Moju and 35 in Tomé-Açu. The vacancies are in various areas of the company, such as the Environment, Health, Human Resources, Infrastructure, Safety at Work, Logistics, Automotive, Industrial Production, Industrial Maintenance, Reception, among others. The company is currently in the process of selecting the young people who have applied and the results of the interviews are expected to be announced at the end of March. In the week of June 3 to 6, the young people will begin their professional journey at the Grupo BBF.

The Grupo BBF Program is in its 4th year, and in all, more than 900 young people have started their careers at the company. The 14-month program is aimed at young people aged between 18 and 21 who are looking to start their professional journey in a collaborative environment committed to sustainability. The future professionals undergo free training provided by the company and support from state institutions such as the National Rural Apprenticeship Service (SENAR) and the National Industrial Apprenticeship Service (SENAI), strengthening their technical and behavioral skills.

Currently, the company is recognized as one of the largest employers in the North, generating around 5,000 direct jobs and around 15,000 indirect jobs in the states of Acre, Amazonas, Pará, Rondônia and Roraima. With a verticalized business model, the Grupo BBF operates from sustainable palm cultivation, recovering degraded areas, producing biofuels to generating renewable energy to serve isolated locations in the Amazon region.

In the state of Pará, the Grupo BBF has 4 oil palm production centers, popularly known as Dendê, cultivating around 60,000 hectares of the plant and preserving more than 60,000 hectares of Permanent Preservation Area (APP) and Legal Reserve (RL). The company also has two palm oil extraction plants with the capacity to produce more than 200,000 tons of oil annually.
