Brasil BioFuels (BBF), a Brazilian company that operates in sustainable agribusiness from oil palm cultivation to trading, biofuel production and renewable energy generation, is starting to implement its first project with SAP, oRISEwith SAP.
With the application of the solutions in two phases, BBF's goal is to modernize its entire management and accelerate the digital transformation of its business. For this reason, the company sought the world's most current solutions in management technology and process automation.
"With this partnership, we will strengthen governance and technological intelligence throughout our chain, in line with our long-term strategy and business diversification," said Milton Steagall, CEO of Brasil BioFuels.
At the heart of the RISE with SAP operation is SAP S/4HANA, one of the most widely used technologies for managing most of the world's businesses.
The scope of the project will cover all areas of the company - finance, accounting, sales, production, supplier management, traceability, human resources, maintenance, materials, transportation, and technology - enabling end-to-end management in all business units.
BBF has more than six thousand direct employees and eighteen thousand indirect employees and will be the first company in the country, in the palm oil sector, to use SAP solutions.
With SAP's cloud technology, BBF will have greater efficiency in data management and operational control, providing cost reduction and productivity gain for its teams and business.
"The agribusiness and energy sectors are very important to SAP. Collaborating in the digital transformation of Brasil BioFuels through our cloud solutions is a source of pride for us," says Mario Tiellet, vice president of General Business and Channels at SAP Brazil.
The new project foresees the complete implementation of the entire system by 2024.
